Se afla in nordul Marii Egee, aproape de coasta Traciei si este a 12-a dintre insulele Greciei, ca suprafata. Legendele grecesti povestesc ca insula a fost botezata dupa primul sau locuitor: \u201eInsula va fi botezata dupa Thassos, fiul lui Poseidon\u201d. Thassos este acoperita cu paduri dese de brazi si pini, integrate intr-un puzzle de culori si peisaje care cuprind albastrul clar al marii, albul curat si stralucitor al caselor, verdele intens al padurilor si duritatea izbitoare a stancilor. Nu putem uita insa de cea mai pretioasa comoara a Thassos-ului, care atrage zeci de mii de turisti: plajele minunate, pesterile secrete si golfuletele intime.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Insula o sa va incante cu bogatia miturilor si folclorului, dar si cu arhitectura clasica, tipica a satelor presarate pe versanti. Oricine gaseste aici activitati care sa-i fie pe plac, fie ca vorbim de familii cu copii, cupluri sau grupuri de prieteni.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Capitala \u2013 Limenas sau Thassos \u2013 este orasul ideal pentru cei care vor sa viziteze obiective turistice, dar si pentru cei care isi doresc sa petreaca timp singuri. Ca sa nu mai vorbim despre faptul ca arta culinara reprezinta un triumf al gastronomiei mediteraneene.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">Cateva obiective de vizitat pe insula:<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Muzee<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Muzeul Arheologic, care adaposteste colectii unice de exponate datand din secolul al VII-lea i.Hr.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Muzeul Etnografic, aflat intr- casa fermecatoare construita in 1880<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Muzeul Vagi (in Skala Potamia)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Muzeul Maslinelor si al Uleiuluide masline<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Biserici si manastiri<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Manastirea Sf. Pantelimon<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Manastirea Sf.
