La temelia Castelului Peles au fost depuse doua pergamente intr-un tub de sticla, iar acesta inchis in alt tub de plumb. Locul de constructie nu a fost intamplator. Cea mai frumoasa camera din Castel era considerata Dormitorul Imperial, amenajat in 1906 special pentru vizita Imparatului Franz Josef.
