On the south-east coast of Kefalonia island, in the village of "Skala" on the waterfront of the beach is where "Tara Beach Hotel" can be found."Tara Beach" hotel is a charming establishment, a perfect choice for all visitors wishing to spend their holidays on a beach hotel, in a cosmopolitan resort area and at the same time being in a quiet and peaceful environment.

"Skala" is a typical Kefalonian village which through the years has evolved into one of the most noted holiday resorts with various types of accommodation and offered services, many of them along the village's coastline. Concerning sightseeing, the sights around the island are countless and of distinct beauty. Among the closest ones to the establishment are: the remains of Old Skala village and the ruins of a Roman Villa with the famous mosaics.

The little village of Markopoulo where you will find “The Church of Panagia Lagouvarda” (Virgin Mary of the Snakes) and in the National Park of mount Ainos at an altitude of 1200m you will find the Monastery of "Zoodohos Pigi/Ζωοδόχος Πηγή" (Life-Giving Spring) if you are lucky, one can see the wild horses of Aenos descending the mountain slope to come drink water.
