Located in a quiet side street, the hotel is very close to Corfu towns historic Spianada and guests have easy access, on foot, to all the important sites and attractions of Kerkyra: Liston, the two great fortresses, museums and Corfu towns fine restaurants, shops and cafes. The hotel, housed in a gloriously restored neo-classical mansion, is an oasis of calmness in the heart of the islands vibrant city. Originally built as the 19th-century residence of one of the islands prominent families, in the 20th century the edifice served as a consulate, the National Bank of Greece, and a high school for Corfiot schoolgirls. In 1988, the apricot-hued stately home became a hotel known for the Most Serene Republic and in 2006 it was lovingly renovated to serve the needs of third-millennium guests from all over the world. The hotel comprises 31 rooms with ancient charm, yet fitted with all comforts of modern life.
