Aphea Village is built on the side of a small hill at the picturesque village of Kolymvari, in the western part of Crete Island. It is 23 km far from Chania town, with frequent bus connections and a motorway exit, at a key point, surrounded by countless attractions. Close by Aphea Village are some of the most famous beaches in the world such as Falassarna, Elafonissi, Balos lagoon and the island of Gramvousa, waiting to explore them. The sandy organized beach of Kolymvari, is just 400m away, with crystal clear water, and little further is the orthodox academy of Crete, the historical Monastery of “Moni Gonias”, and the cave of St John the Hermit. The airport (Chania Souda Airport CHQ) is only 40 minutes, the port (Chania Souda Port) is only 30 minutes and Platanias’ vibrant nightlife is 10 minutes, drive from the hotel.

Falasarna/Phalasarna: Driving 38 minutes
Elafonisi: Driving 55 minutes
Balos/Gramvousa: Access by road to Balos is not recommended. The best method is to go on a day trip to Balos and Gramvoussa by boat from Kissamos Port (driving 20 minutes).
Samaria Gorge: 1hour
Palaiochora:1 hour
