Panellinion, one of the most historical buildings in Kalamata,built in 1904,by french mechanics, decorates the central jetty, in distance only 5 minutes from the centre of the city. According to the tradition is the most popular corner in the harbor of Kalamata. Since 1909, it constitutes the meeting point of the fishermen, local people and tourists. Panellinion is located on the central street Navarinou which is full of life, all year long. There are plenty of cafes, bars, restaurants and gift shops for tourists. At night, visitors enjoy the nightlife and in the morning, citizens and visitors have the opportunity to swim in the crystal clean waters of Kalamataâs beach.
