Platanias Mare is located right on the sandy beach of Platanias and features a swimming pool and a seaside bar-restaurant. Its air-conditioned units feature a kitchenette and a balcony with Cretan Sea or pool views. Studios and rooms at Platanias Mare hotel are bright and simply furnished. They include a dining and a seating area, and a satellite TV. Each unit comes with a private bathroom with shower and a hairdryer. The seaside bar-restaurant serves local cuisine and a selection of European dishes. Exotic cocktails can also be enjoyed at the beach bar. Every week the hotel organizes Cretan nights with local dancers and regional cuisine. Platanias Mare is 14 km from Chania Port and 22 km from Souda Airport. The scenic centre of Chania is 10 km away. Free Wi-Fi is available in public areas and free parking is possible on site.Please be advised from 01/01/18 according to new regulations introduced by the Greek government, customers will be charged an “Overnight tax” (per room per night) and this should be payable by guests directly to the hotel upon arrival. The amount you'll pay is based on the official rating of the accommodation you have booked, according to the local Tourist Board classification. The tax is something new and specifically aimed at tourists. It's a cost beyond our and the accommodation's control.
