HOTEL The hotel Riu Cancun allows guests to enjoy their holidays freely without limits, without worries, and taking time to relax. This luxury hotel is located in 10 min walking distance to the beach in Cancuns hotel district. There is a plethora of bars and restaurants as well as a shopping centre in the vicinity. The centre of Cancun, which lies 1 km away, may easily be reached by making use of public transportation for which a stop is located directly in front of the hotel. The international airport lies about 20 km away. LOCATION The Riu Cancun is situated just in the Corazone area which is the modern hotel zone with American-style shopping centre, various restaurants, bars and nightclubs. Cancun consist of two parts: Corazone is one of them and is located on a peninsula between a lagoon and the Caribbean Sea. The second one is the town of Cancun (10 km away) with its Mexican atmosphere. There are excellent connections to the archaeological sites which reflect the Mayan culture. The Caribbean Sea, with its offshore coral reefs and lagoon offers perfect water sports opportunities. The sister hotel Riu Palace Las Americas is just 100 m away.
