For older aquatic adventurers, there’s an aqua park with six water slides – ranging from the freefall cube to the speedy kamikaze slide. Little ones, meanwhile, get their own splash-filled zone that features an aqua tower with water bucket, water wheels, and lots more.

Near the pool and aqua park is also where you’ll find the snack bar. Just the thing when only an ice-cold drink will do. There’s a traditional taverna, too, which serves up Mediterranean meze by the plateful, and a buffet restaurant that throws regular theme nights starring the most popular cuisines from around the world.

Activities? Sun Palace Protaras keeps boredom at bay with tennis, a games area, and a mini club that’s packed with things to do for the kids. Or you could slow things down a bit and grab an hour or three of me-time at the adults-only pool.

Opening hours for the water park: 10h30 to 17h30 April to October There is a height restriction for kids to enter and its 1.20cm and above.
